Visited palace of the Popes in Avignon, France. Magnificent views and stunning waste of wealth. Came home to twilight at the place where Van Gogh painted “Starry Night” – a view of our riverside home.

Worship in Geneva with Setri and his family, a visit to the World Council of Churches building and the World Communion of Reformed Churches headquarters before a train to Lyon.
Sabbatical Day 61 – 13th Day of Ordinary Time – (Taizé, France) / Geneva, Switzerland
Morning snow on the vineyards. Midday worship at Taize after a visit to Cluny cloisters. Train to Geneva.

Good day walking around Paris, seeing old friend Scott Herr, Pastor of the American Church. Thoroughly battered feet by day’s end!

Arrival back in Phoenix with a view to our old home and the still thriving congregation, then sunset in peace with Jill at Carefree’s Spirit in the Desert Lutheran Retreat Center.
